Daily Announcements 1. Good luck to our JH/JV FB teams as they host Maple River and North Border tonight in Hatton with the JH game starting at 4:30. 2. Good luck to our JH/HS VB teams as they travel to Hillsboro today with the 7th grade game starting at 4pm and C squad at 4:45. JH players will be dismissed at 2:25 and will be leaving at 2:35. HS players will be leaving at 3:20. Please make sure the girls locker room is cleared out by 3:10. 3. Cross Country practice will be in Larimore after school. 4. Good luck to our golf team at their meet in Park River today. Varsity golf will practice after school. 5. Elementary GBB practice will be after school today. 6. Student Council will be meeting tomorrow at 8am in the Library. 7. There will be a representative from NDSU in the conference room today at 2:40pm. I will announce when they are here. 8. HS VB practice will be in Northwood after school. 4. Cross Country practice will be in Northwood. 5. Good luck to the Varsity golfers today at their meet in Lakota. 6. Elementary girls basketball will practice after school. 7. Participation for Thunder wear Friday is at 63% today. This is down from last Friday. Let's try for 75% next Friday. Today's Lunch: Stuffed Crust Pizza, Glazed Carrots, Fruit Monday's Breakfast: Granola Bar, Fruit Bet You Didn't Know: LEGO bricks withstand compression better than concrete.

Thursday September 5th Announcements: 1. JH/HS FB practice will be in Hatton after school. 2. Good luck to our JH/HS VB teams as host PRFL tonight in Northwood with the 7th grade game starting at 4pm in the alumni gym and the C squad starting at 4:45 in the main gym. JH players will be dismissed at 2:45 and leave at 2:55 and HS players will be leaving at 3:40. 3. Cross Country practice will be in Northwood. 4. Good luck to our JH/JV golfers at their meet in Northwood today. Varsity practice will be after school. 5. Good luck the Elementary GBB teams as they travel to Larimore today with games starting at 4pm. Players will be leaving at 2:50pm. 6. Students, please do not park in the lot by the bus barn by door #6. 7. Student Council will be meeting tomorrow morning at 8am in the library. Wednesday September 4th Announcements: 1. HS FB practice will be in Hatton. There is no JH practice. 2. JH/HS VB pictures and practice will be in Northwood after school. Players will be riding on the mini bus. 3. Cross country picture day and practice will be in Northwood. 4. Girls Golf practice will be in Northwood. 5. The September Reading Challenge has begun! Read 300 minutes to throw a water balloon at your teacher! High school students will have the opportunity to throw a water balloon at Mr. Derrick Strand or Ms. Wood and have a chance to win an Ampride gift card. To be able to be a part of the end of the year field trip, students need to complete every monthly reading challenge. 6. CYO will be meeting tonight at St John Church at 5:30. Students 6-12 are welcome for food and games. Today's Lunch: Chicken Burger, Chips, Baked Beans, Fruit Tomorrow's Breakfast: Breakfast Bagel, Fruit Bet You Didn't Know: Hippos can't swim.

Good luck to our JH/HS volleyball teams as they host Midway-Minto tonight in Hatton with the 7th grade game starting at 4pm in the new gyn and the C squad starting at 4:45 in the main gym. 3.Good luck to our Cross country team at their meet in Carrington starting at 2:00 pm. Athletes will be leaving at 10:15. 4. Girls Golf practice will be at the course after school. 5. Please have the boys locker room cleared out by 3pm today. 6. FCCLA will be meeting tomorrow morning at 8am. 7. Happy Birthday to Mrs. Strand and Mrs. Hanson today. Today's Lunch: Hamburger Hotdish, Dinner Roll, Fruit Tomorrow's Breakfast: Apple Frudel, Fruit Bet You Didn't Know: Ants don't have lungs.

We will be hosting breakfast again this year. Donuts for Dads will be Tuesday September 17th, Goodies for Grandparents Tuesday October 15th and Muffins for Moms Tuesday November 19th. We encourage parents/guardians/grandparents to come in and share a breakfast with students free of charge.

There is no school Monday September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.

Popplers Music will be at the school Tuesday August 27th at 4pm to visit with 5th graders looking to rent an instrument. They will be in the music room with instruments ready to go as well as start up kits and books.
