2. Good luck to the drama students at the Regionals in Northwood today.
3. Good luck to the elementary boys basketball teams as they travel to Northwood today. Players will be dismissed at 2:55 and leave at 3pm.
4. There will be a baseball meeting for players in grades 9-12 today in Hatton at 4:00. If you are not able to attend, please let Mr. Carpenter or Mr. Nelson know.
5. There will be a HS boys basketball meeting Thursday, November 14th at 4pm in Mr. Strand room.

2. FCCLA will be meeting at 8am tomorrow in the FACS room.
3. The November/December Reading Challenge started and will end on December 12th. High School students can read 300 minutes to play the teachers in basketball. Congratulations to Natasha Axt for winning the Ampride gift card for October!
4. The FBLA is hosting an Alzheimer's Walk tomorrow at 2pm with the Thunder buddies. Please wear purple to school and dress appropriately for the walk.

Monday November 4th Announcements:
1. HS VB practice will be in Northwood after school.
2. Good luck to the elementary boys basketball teams as they host Thompson today at 4pm.
3. Please make sure to have the girls locker rooms cleared out after lunch today.
4. Students 7-12 will be going to Northwood today to watch the One Act Play. Buses will be loaded at the front of the school and will leave at 1:30pm.
5. There will be a wrestling meeting for girls and boys grades 7-12 and parents on Monday Nov 4th at 6:30pm at Mayville high school.
6. The HS Baseball meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday at 4pm in Hatton.

Sources of Strength is a Youth mental health organization that uses peer leadership to help create healthier and happier schools and communities. Sources of Strength was developed in the state of North Dakota.
Mission statement: “The mission of Sources of Strength is to prevent adverse outcomes by increasing wellbeing, help-seeking, resiliency, healthy coping, and belonging.”
Our team consists of 16 peer leaders and 5 adult leaders. We have 8 groups each group represents one part of the wheel. Sources of Strength has been a part of our school since 2019.
Part of our Fall activity included painting pumpkins and writing a quote representing their group. We then delivered them around town, so if you find a pumpkin on your doorstep, we hope it brings you joy. We would also like to thank those who donated pumpkins. Maren Askim and Donna and Dick Stewart.
This year the Sources of Strength team also designed their team shirt: The quote says: In a world full of black and white , be the color. Each color on the wheel represents a source of strength that students and adults can guide us through the ups and downs of life. The 8 strengths are Family Support, Mental Health, Physical Health, Spirituality, Generosity, Healthy Activities, Mentors and Positive Friends. Thank you Michelle Bye for helping us with our design and making our shirts, and to Fred Strand for donating his Thrivent Card to pay for them. We greatly appreciate your generosity.

4. There will be a baseball meeting in Hatton on Tuesday Nov 5th at 4:00 for players in grades 9-12. If you cannot make it, visit with Mr. Carpenter before the meeting.

Congratulations to the High Honor and Honor Students for the 1st Quarter!
Congratulations to our Mathletes on winning their 4th straight Mayville State University Math Meet Championship! The team consisted of seniors Brody Johnson and Hannah Scholand, and juniors Cooper Handly and Rylan Wamstad.
In addition to winning the team trophy, Cooper Handly finished in 2nd place as an individual, and Brody Johnson was the overall individual champion!

2. Tomorrow is the last day to complete 300 minutes of reading for a snowcone. High school students be sure to fill out the Google Form for your minutes to count. Snow cones will be served on Monday during CLT time.
